Robert Sarver Early Life

On October 31st, 1961, Robert Sarver was born in Tucson, Arizona, USA. He was born into a Jewish family in his early life since both his parents(Irene and jack sarver) were both Jewish.
In 1979, his father, Jacker Sarver, died of a heart attack, leading Robert to donate funds to his alma mater, the University of Arizona’s heart research center. This incident also made him a member of the board of trustees of the Sarver Heart Center in Tucson. At the age of 16, Robert went to work for his father’s company. The name of the company is “American Savings and Loan.” He worked in the company even while he was still attending high school.
Robert successfully graduated from Sabino high school in Tucson, where he attained the high school educational level in 1979. At that time, he was 18 years old.
The scholar advanced his degree to become a certified public accountant. Furthermore, he graduated from the University of Arizona in 1982, gaining a BSc in business administration. Robert achieved all these achievements in 1983 when he was only 22 years old.
Robert Sarver married Penny Sanders in 1996; they were both blessed with three lovely sons, and the whole family lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona, USA.

Career Development

Sarver has ventured into many banking, real estate development, and sports investments.
In 1984 he founded the National Bank of Tucson, which after expansion, he renamed The National Bank of Arizona.
He subsequently sold the bank to a company named “Zions Ban-corporation,” Later, he acquired Grossmont bank in San Diego.
In 1997 the successful investor and businessman sold Grossmont bank to the same buyers of the National Bank of Arizona Zion ban corporation, which made the company (Zions Bancorporation) acquire the large Sumitomo Bank of California.
In 2003, he became the chairman of Western Alliance Bancorporation.

Progressing in the real estate development, in 1990, Robert and Millard Seldin jointly founded a real estate company named “Southwest Value Partners,” which later bought the “Emerald Plaza” in San Diego in the year 1995.
Later on, the Southwest Value Partners sold Emerald Plaza and two other San Diego office buildings to Santa Ana real estate firm in 2004.

Being interested in sporting activities, Robert became a fan of basketball sports and wanted to own a sports club. Sarver spoke to the Basketball coach(Lute Olson) of the University of Arizona as he began his quest to buy an NBA team. In 2004 his quest was fulfilled as he purchased Phoenix Suns for a whooping sum of then-recorded $401million United States dollars. This led to massive organizational developments in the club.

Robert Sarver spread his sporting project development further into the soccer (football) department in which he tried purchasing Rangers Football club, a team in the Scottish premier league. He made offers of both £18m and £20m to the club board of directors. These offers were unfortunately turned down, which ended his pursuit to buy Rangers.
His pursuit of owning a football club didn’t stop there as he went further to Spain to purchase RCD Mallorca for €20m in January 2016.
